Belgium CricketNational Team!Belgium is presently ranked 10th in Europe in the latest ICC Twenty 20 rankings. In 2012 we won ICC Europe division 2 and then defeated, presently fifth ranked Denmark in Division 1. Denmark went on to win that tournament only losing to Belgium. Later that year we won a qualification tournament to play in the World cricket league division 8 tournament. In September we went to Samoa to play in the division 8 tournament where we finished in 4th place. In 2013 the ICC Division 1 tournament was held in England where several of our leading players were refused visa and as a result we ended bottom of the table and were demoted to Europe division 3. However, as a show of our strength and resolve, in 2014 we won Division 3 and narrowly missed winning Division 2, finishing second to Norway.
The Belgium national team provides opportunities for Belgians to play in an international sport by representing their country at cricket. By doing so they bring recognition to themselves and Belgium on the international stage. We strive to play fair and win within the rules and laws of the game. Respect for our opponents, continuous improvement, humility in our victories, learning from our defeats and seeking to make friends with other peoples of the world best describes what Belgium cricket is about.
The present Belgium team consists of players from different ethnicities mainly from Pakistan. Our aim is to have more indigenous Belgians playing the game and representing the country within the next 6 to 10 years. The team is coached by Fazil Mahmoud and managed by Anthony Brand. Our present captain is Abdul Rehman who is also one of Europe`s leading all rounder averaging over 50 with the bat and is a wicket taking medium fast bowler.

Top Cricketers from all clubs and recent league matches in Belgium are encouraged to work to develop their cricket skills and join the Belgium Cricket National team. We provide a fun, safe and learner centered atmosphere at BCF Cricket Academy. Our cricket academy is the final pathway to the National team. There we coach the individuals not only cricket skills, so one can go on to develop the right mental, tactical, technical, physical and life style skills necessary for high performance.
