BCF Fundamentals of Coaching Cricket

BCF organises periodically the course  “Fundamentals of Coaching Cricket”.

Developing new young and dedicated qualified Cricket Coaches is the pivot of any Cricket development plan. The Belgian Cricket Federation (BCF) in association with Cricket Vlaanderen and Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles de Cricket bring opportunities in Belgium for learning to teach Cricket formally.
This education opportunity can be your first stepping stone to qualify for the ICC’s certified Level 1 and higher Cricket training programmes. The BCF also supports further coach education path for participants, who successfully participates and finishes the apprentice term or a coach training term as a junior coach role in Cricket Academy.
BCF will issue certificate of participation to all eligible candidates. Each successful and eligible participant is required to provide an original copy of character/conduct certificate issued by relevant Belgian authorities clearly stating that they can work with minor aged people. BCF will issue the certificate of participation only to those candidates providing the character / conduct certificate)

The course schedule once confirmed will published on the website and also will be sent to those subscribed to BCF newsletter.

Target participants: School Sports teachers, Coaches from other sports, cricket players

Course Objectives:
Role of the coach
How to plan a coaching session.
Learning the What-to-coach skills e.g. tactics, technique, fitness, mental skills, etc.
Learning the How-to-coach skills e.g. explanation, demonstration, feedback, observation, analyse etc.
Fundamentals of the Laws of Cricket
Teaching games for spreading an understanding
Modified games of Cricket

Registration requirements:
All participants must register by completing the registration form online. Registration link will be provided once course schedule is confirmed.
The registrations will be done on first come first serve basis. The participants who will not be able to attend, due to overbooking will be invited to attend the next session.

Constraints:
The course will be organised only if there are minimum of 6 confirmed candidates.
